Production Runs March 27-29
Little Shop of Horrors is coming to the newly renovated Pawling High School theater on March 27-29. The musical, which closed its revival run Off-Broadway on March 8, 2020, has had a long history on stage and screen. The shows on March 27 and 28 are at 7:30 p.m. The show on March 29 is at 2:00 p.m. The musical is based on the film by Roger Corman, screenplay by Charles Griffith. Howard Ashman created the book and lyrics with music by Alan Menken. Little Shop of Horrors tells the tale of Seymour, a goofy but likeable florist who finds his chance at romance and success with the help of a giant man-eating plant.
The Pawling production is directed by Stacy Dumont. The cast includes: Anna Seitz (junior) as A Voice and other features roles, Sam Ferraiola (sophomore), Grace Green (junior), Emma Leahy (freshman), Nylah Torres (junior) as the Urchins, Ryan Resnick (junior) as Seymour, Emily Barrett (junior) as Audrey, Jake Voudren (senior) as Orin, Lauren Maiolo (junior) as Muschnik, and Marie Jackson (sophomore), Sarah Knowles (freshman), Lexi Knowles (freshman) as the ensemble.
The crew includes Stage Manager Lauren Tocci (junior), Costume Coordinator Ally Clisby (senior), Props Manager Dusty Izzo (junior), Director Stacy Dumont, Musical Director Hannah Geiling, Technical Directors Brian Ostyn and Jim Agostinelli, and Choreographer Gillian Rinaldo. The Art and Tech crew is comprised of Deb Keesler, Brian Ostyn and the PHS Art Club, and Crystal Walters and the PMS Art Club.
