Santa Comes to the Pawling Library
Santa and Mrs. Clause were the guests of honor at the Pawling Library on Saturday, December 7. Tween volunteers kept all moving smoothly, as sixty-one children and sixty-two adults visited with the happy couple. According to Children's Program Coordinator, Neena Mcbaer, “only a few cried! It was a huge success. We are so lucky to have such a wonderful Santa and Mrs. Claus in our world, and thankful they make time to visit our library every year."
Dr. Jeremy Stone brought his electric piano and volunteered to play Christmas Carols while many waited patiently for their turn to see the Clauses. The children were asked what they wanted from Santa this year. Some of the priceless responses; “Pancakes!” “Well, I don't know. What have you got?” “A real unicorn.” “A Christmas tree!”
Many parents and caregivers took advantage of the Library's holiday book sale which was taking place next door in the Library Annex during Santa's visit. The book sale was a great success.
