Hello Pawling! It is great to be back and I’m so grateful for the opportunity to reconnect. I hope everyone’s out discovering great music in our region. Have you heard about the very popular open mic at the JCC Sherman? It’s hosted by one of my favorite people, Sherman resident and First Selectman, Don Lowe. I haven’t been able to attend the event, as it coincides with Jacque’s Giant Music Show on thebeatofthevalley.com.
I can’t hold it against Don because he introduced me to the station and was the first one put me on air! However, it frustrates me to miss a great night of live music! If you’re a singer, songwriter, poet, storyteller or dancer, sign up is 6:00 p.m. Get thereon time, as Don typically presents 15-20 acts that are enjoyed by a dedicated audience of music enthusiasts. Show starts at 7 p.m. for those who are spectating. Visit the JCC website to find out about an upcoming concert featuring Wildcat Creek November 2. Lots of exciting things happening there, and I hope you take the time to check them out at jccinsherman.org.
I would be remiss if I did not mention Pawling Public Radio’s upcoming benefit. On November 9 we are hosting a Farm-to-Firehouse Chef’s Event. Woodwind instrumentalist and Holmes’ resident, Keith Gurland will be providing melodic background music. Tickets are available on our
FB Event page. Please visit PawlingPublicRadio.org for more details. I’m looking forward to feedback about all the fun places you’ve discovered while we’ve been on
hiatus. If you’re an original songwriter or fan, reach out and tell me about your music at, JacquesGiantShow@gmail.com.
