A longstanding Pawling business has recently embarked on an exciting new chapter as Elite Electrical Enterprises has officially announced a partnership with Lippolis Electric, Inc., to form Elite Electric & Maintenance LLC. This new union will serve to benefit both companies, allowing for a greater expansion of the areas that can benefit from their exceptional service records.

In 1993, Elite Electrical Enterprises was established by Pawling native John Predham. Through the years, Elite would become established throughout the area, providing electrician services to both residential and commercial projects. These services include accent lighting installation, circuit breaker installation and repair, and solutions for every manner of electrical, audio and video, and communications project.

A graduate of Pawling High School, John Predham understands the importance of being a part of the community. “I was born and raised here, my wife taught in Pawling for years,” he explains. “We have deep roots here.”

After 26 years in Pawling, Predham was looking to take on a new challenge. “I was thinking about winding it down or making a change,” he says. For over two decades, Predham had developed a business relationship with Carmine Lippolis, President of Lippolis Electric, Inc. based in Pelham, NY. “I’ve respected John for 25 years, we would always gravitate towards each other and refer work to one another,” says Lippolis. “He’s one of those guys that you just respect. We’re always on the same page, and you don’t get that a lot in a professional relationship.”

Conversations between the two began last December, and on April 1, Lippolis Electric became the parent company for Elite Electrical and formed Elite Electric & Maintenance, a move that will see a mutually beneficial arrangement between the two companies. “I knew that the business had tremendous goodwill in the community,” says Lippolis. “And we’re going to be able to continue the customer service that Elite is known for.” “When this came about, it was clearly the right move,” adds Predham.

The partnership now gives Elite Electric the added benefit of Lippolis’s resources, which will ultimately increase the service area for both companies. “The opportunities are exciting,” says Predham. “We’ll be able to serve local clients who may have other homes in Manhattan and New Jersey.”

Lippolis Electric has been in business since 1984, celebrating 35 years of business this year. Specializing in all manner of residential and commercial electrical work, the company handles energy and lighting retrofits, LED lighting, preventative maintenance, and Green initiatives. “With us, there’s no job too small and no job too big,” explains Lippolis.

Lippolis Electric also boasts many long tenured employees, a fact that left a great impression on John Predham as he considered a partnership between the two companies. “The longevity of the people that have been there for 25 or 30 years is so positive,” he says. “And they’re still building.”

“We’re looking at this as a startup, and we’re not taking anything for granted,” says Carmine Lippolis. “Every day is the first day.” John Predham has assumed the role of Executive Director for Strategic Planning & Business Development for Elite Electric, now with the manpower of Lippolis Electric at his disposal.

With the union of Lippolis and Elite now up and running, all involved are optimistic for what the future holds. “It’s something exciting,” says Vice President of Services Anthony Galletta, who has worked for Lippolis Electric for 20 years. His sentiments were echoed by Office Assistant Kathleen Slattery, who says, “I’m excited about being a part of something new.”
