Lonna Kelly spoke with Ron Steinman about his extensive career.
Photographer and writer Lonna Kelly interviewed Ron Steinman for her cable TV show Hudson Valley Art Speak on May 4, which airs on Channel 8. The interview took place at the beautiful Sunflour Bakery, located at 5 Broad Street in Pawling.
Mr. Steinman’s career background is extensive, and he touched briefly on his early days at NBC, where he started out as a copy boy. Years later, he would become Bureau Chief in Saigon during the Vietnam War. Mr. Steinman would then go on to become a producer for the Today Show for several years.
Ms. Kelly then focused on Mr. Steinman’s upcoming appearance at the Pawling Library on Saturday, June 15, where he will be guest host and discussion leader at a screening of the PBS documentary American Creed. He and his creative partner Eileen Douglas, of the Manhattan-based team Douglas/Steinman Productions, are scheduled to appear at the library on Saturday, May 11 for a special viewing of their own documentary The Dance Goodbye which originally aired on PBS.
