While there’s no way to slow down the passing of time, I have come to realize that every short day must be lived to its fullest. For myself, that includes a daily music-related activity. Not being able to sing (or play) a note, I’m grateful to share what I know about the Pawling Live Music Scene through this column and on the airwaves at TheBeatoftheValley.com via Jacque’s Giant Music Show.
I’ve had a sneak peek at Pawling’s 2019 Farmer’s Market performance calendar! I am happy to report that you can look forward to enjoying a different act every Saturday afternoon in the gazebo, beginning with the first market date of Saturday, June 15.
Speaking of the gazebo, members of the Hudson Valley Yarn Trail will be recognizing World Wide Knit Outside Day on June 8 from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. They are looking for local musicians who would like to perform outside in the electrified gazebo. Participating musicians are welcome to sell merch, play music, and pass the hat. If interested, please look them up on the Internet at HudsonValleyYarnTrail.com.
In addition to the live music options in the immediate area listed below, I was happy to see that the classic rock cover band, Niteshade is returning to Tina’s Rest (4081 Route 52, Holmes). If you’re looking for fun on Saturday night, May 11, head over to Tina’s. The band starts at 9:00 p.m. Tell them I sent ya!
