Tangible Agency Celebrates New Location

Last month, a new hub of creativity arose Pawling when The Tangible Agency opened its new office at 4D Oak Street in the village. Tangible is a full-service agency providing creative support in the design, marketing, print, and digital platforms. With this endeavor, which draws on her more than twenty years of experience, owner Chris Shaw brings a unique opportunity to area businesses.

Before establishing her talents in Pawling, Shaw worked with a variety of marketing teams, including roles at Madison Avenue agencies, several Westchester area firms, her own agency in North Carolina, and eventually serving as Chief Marketing Officer for one of the largest digital houses in New York City. “I’ve been in marketing for more than twenty years,” explains Shaw. “I’ve worked for big companies and small companies, and I’ve been on both the client side and the agency side, which gives me a unique advantage in understanding client challenges.”

Despite her success as a marketing executive in numerous organizations, Shaw’s true desire was to be at the helm of her own company again, and four years ago, that idea gave birth to The Tangible Agency. “I’ve always been an entrepreneur at heart. I just like doing my own thing,” she says.

The Tangible Agency boasts clients of all sizes, including local clients Crooked Rooster, TEG Federal Credit Union, and the Villa Borghese, startups such as FizzWizz Baby and Donald Scott NYC, and larger clients such as Kleinfeld Bridal, the NYC-based bridal shop behind the popular reality TV show Say Yes to the Dress.

“Over the years, I’ve worked with a lot of big companies, but this space will allow me to support small businesses and entrepreneurs, which is something I really love doing,” says Shaw.

The Tangible Agency is proud to offer a wide range of services to improve marketing for businesses of any size. Claire Wajda serves as the agency’s full-time designer, and Tangible has an impressive list of experienced professionals at the ready to help with all aspects of marketing, including design, illustration, web development, e-commerce, photography, and video production. “With a long list of reliable sources, we can easily expand and contract according to what clients need,” says Shaw.

The storefront at 4D Oak Street is a welcoming creative space, and Chris Shaw encourages visitors to come in and discuss their needs. (Previously, Tangible had been located on West Main Street above Fountain Plumbing.) “Since we opened, people have just been walking in; it’s a nice departure from what I’m used to,” she explains. Tangible has already begun working with several local businesses, including the recently opened Sunflour Bakery. “It’s just fun to sit down and talk with people who are excited about their business,” says Shaw.

Tangible will be holding a grand opening on Tuesday, February 12, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The evening will feature food, giveaways, free marketing audits, an email marketing workshop, and plenty of Tangible’s creative inspiration – good coffee. “We drink a lot of coffee here,” jokes Shaw.

In addition to offering full service marketing and design, Tangible will also be hosting a DIY marketing series, evening workshops, and talks from influencers and marketing professionals in the coming months. “We’re going to give you everything you need to grow your business,” says Shaw. “People can come in with a problem, and we’ll figure out how to solve it as a team.”

Chris Shaw studied science at Manhattanville College and worked in the field of neurobiology, but found that her true passion lay in marketing and helping businesses expand. “My calling was to be creative,” she says. In her spare moments, she enjoys spending time with her two sons, as well as running and creative writing.

As The Tangible Agency settles into its new location, Chris Shaw and her team are excited about the prospect of helping area businesses prosper with their brand of creative solutions. “I just like doing good work and giving 110%,” says Shaw. “This is really my dream come true.” For more information, visit the Tangible website at www.TangibleAgency.com
