Next month, a fixture of local commerce will mark another anniversary when Southeast Kitchen & Bath commemorates 46 years of operation. With showrooms in Brewster, Mahopac, Pawling, and Bethel, CT, Southeast Kitchen is owned by the father and son duo Anthony and Nick Palladino who have been providing quality remodeling for over four decades.
The story of Southeast Kitchen & Bath began when Anthony Palladino opened his first showroom in Armonk in 1973. “My father was a builder, and so was my grandfather,” he explains. “So I grew up in the business from Day One. It’s all I know.” Eventually, Anthony’s son Nick would follow in his footsteps, growing up and learning the family business alongside his father.
Southeast Kitchen offers quality remodeling services and proudly provides all services from in-house staff. “What makes us unique is that when people hire us, they hire us to do everything from start to finish on their project,” explains Nick Palladino. “We design it, we supply all the materials, and we install everything. We don’t hire day labor.”
The one-stop shopping approach to remodeling is made even more impressive by the long list of services available from Southeast Kitchen. In addition to full kitchen and bath remodeling, the firm also specializes in cabinetry, counter tops, plumbing, electrical, custom closets, trim and moulding, tile, and decks. Southeast Kitchen’s four showrooms are open six days a week, with experienced staff who will assist in the selection of hardware, tile, countertops, and plumbing fixtures.
“We have our own designers in house, and our own guys out in the field,” says Nick. Without the need for subcontracting, Southeast Kitchen has fifteen experienced employees including a project manager, office manager, electricians, plumbers, painters, carpenters, and masons. “We’re self-contained,” adds Anthony. “Licensed, insured, bonded, the whole nine yards.”
A full kitchen or bathroom remodeling project typically takes roughly four weeks, and the Palladinos and their crew are adamant about not taking on jobs that cannot be finished in a timely fashion. “We won’t start a job until we know we can be there literally every day until it’s done,” explains Nick. His father adds: “We wait until all the materials are in before we start, right down to the knobs on the cabinetry so there’s no delay.”
This commitment to customer service has earned Southeast Kitchen numerous sales awards from Kountry Kraft Cabinetry, as well as Best Customer Service awards recognition from the remodeling website Houzz.com for the past four years. “We only get that because our customers leave us good reviews,” Nick adds.
Southeast Kitchen & Bath will officially celebrate 46 years on March 12, and they have no plans to slow down their bustling operation. When asked for the business’s plans for the future, the answer is simple: “Satisfying customers,” says Anthony.
