“It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year,” as the song goes, and the Pawling Library has some pretty wonderful events planned this December.
Santa and Mrs. Claus will be on hand to greet our littlest patrons on Saturday, December 8, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and Dr. Jeremy Stone will be entertaining all with an array of holiday music to add to this very festive celebration. The Library Director, staff, trustees and volunteers invite one and all to pop in for a little holiday cheer.
The library’s annual holiday book sale will take place in the Library Annex beginning on Friday, December 7, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. and will run through Sunday, December 9. The community is invited to stop by after the tree lighting for browsing and buying as great gifts abound at this year’s sale. Book sale hours on Saturday, December 8 will be from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and on Sunday, December 9, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. For those who are serious about their book browsing, the library will provide children’s activities in the main library building while moms, dads, and caregivers shop for that perfect tome.
As always, the library can use a little elf help this season with the book sale set up. Anyone interested in getting a sneak peek at these particularly perfect reads by volunteering may contact Brian Avery, Library Director, by phone at (845) 855-3444 and by email at Director@PawlingLibrary.org.
