The Pawling Farmers Market is pleased to announce their first ever pre-Thanksgiving market. This one-day event will be held on Saturday, November 17, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Pawling Fire House on South Street. Twenty-five vendors and artisans will be there with plenty of food for your holiday table and your larder, as well as lots of options for early holiday gift shopping.
Trapani Farms, Dan Madura Farms, Pawling Bread Company, Dutchess Coffee, PickleLicious, and Chaseholm Farm Creamery are just a few of your favorites who’ll be joining the festivities. Garden Greetings’ notecards and block prints, Emergent Jewel’s elegant necklaces and earrings, and Lori Adams’ photos, cards, and books all make wonderful presents. Besides live music to keep things hopping, Nick the Knife will also be on hand to give your carving knives a tune-up.
The Pawling Resource Center will have a table at the market to take donations of food for their Thanksgiving food pantry. The Pawling Resource Center offers a helping hand to neighbors and provides a caring place to turn in difficult times.
Pawling has always had a rich agricultural heritage and, as part of the rising popularity of locally grown fruits and vegetables, The Pawling Farmers Market continues to celebrate that tradition. Buying local food at the market can help keep us healthy, keep money in our community, and reduce the wasteful trucking, flying, and freezing of the foods we eat. And you can taste the difference.
Think globally, eat locally.
