Vegetables Are Growing at the Pawling Library
The Pawling Library has a brand new vegetable garden, which is being tended by teens in the Gardening Club. Sugar snap peas, lettuce, cucumbers, and marigolds are sprouting in raised garden beds, and tomato and green pepper plants are growing indoors, waiting to be transplanted. Not everything in the garden has been started from seed, as the teens have also transplanted strawberries, mint, basil, cilantro, and dill.
The Gardening Club will continue to meet weekly throughout the spring and summer, and members will be able to take vegetables and herbs home with them when they are ready to harvest.
