Pawling Concert Series Presents Lincoln Center Chamber Music Society - Friday, April 6
Members of the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center will play the music of Antonin Dvorak and Johannes Brahms at the Pawling Concert Series on Friday, April 6, 2018. The concert will be held at 8:00 p.m. at Gardiner Theater on the campus of the Trinity Pawling School. The concert is sponsored by Bindy and Stephen Kaye and Key Bank. Tickets are available at the Book Cove in the Village of Pawling, at the door, and on line at PawlingConcertSeries.org. Adult tickets are $30; children 12 and under are admitted without charge.
Brahms and Dvorak were contemporaries and friends who respected and drew inspiration from each other. The six-member group will play a program that includes Gypsy-inspired Hungarian Dances and Slavonic Dances, as well as the Brahms piano trio Op. 101 and the Dvorak Quintet Op. 81. Joining CMS Co-Artistic Director, pianist Wu Han, for this program is a group of some of the most exciting young artists on the distinguished CMS roster: pianist Michael Brown, violinists Arnaud Sussman and Chad Hoopes, violist Matthew Lipman, and cellist Dmitri Atapine.
The Pawling Concert Series is presented, in part, with public funds from the New York State Council on the Arts, with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and the NYS Legislature, and through funding from Dutchess Tourism, administered by Arts Mid-Hudson. In addition, this series has been generously underwritten by: Andron Construction, Castagna Realty, Joseph Meunier & Sons, and Joe Pietryka Inc.
