Wayne J. Bardua, 66, of Palm Coast, FL, formerly of Pawling, NY, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 29, 2017 from a stroke. He was born on September 15, 1951, in Danbury, CT, to Jean Bardua and the late Donald G. Bardua.
Wayne was a graduate of Pawling High School. He also graduated from SUNY Oswego and SUNY New Paltz. Prior to his retirement, he was a 5th grade science teacher in Highland Falls where he made an impact on so many of his adoring students’ lives.
On July 31, 2004, Wayne married Patricia (Trish) Duffy Emmons. She survives in Palm Coast.
He is also survived by his mother, Jean, of Pawling; sisters Donna Bardua of Cary, NC, and Diane (Norman) Alpren of Long Beach, NY, and brothers Ed (Karen) Bardua of Pawling, NY, and David (René) Bardua of Wake Forest, NC; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
A memorial service was held at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, in Pawling, on Friday, November 24. Burial followed at the Pawling Cemetery. Arrangements were made by Horn & Thomes, Inc. Funeral Home, 83 East Main Street, Pawling,
