On Saturday, December 2, 2017, the Christ Church on Quaker Hill’s members will be holding their 53rd Annual Christmas Bazaar from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at 17 Church Street, Pawling. Visitors entering the Thomas Center will be greeted by the aroma of beautifully decorated, fresh holiday wreaths. This annual event provides family and community friends the opportunity to shop for home baked goods including assorted holiday cookie boxes, seasonal ornaments and plants, handcrafted and new decor items, jewelry, books, and the very popular “Platinum, Pink, White Elephant” area of gently used items. Santa appears at 10:00 a.m. by fire truck to open the Bazaar. Santa will be available for pictures with your children in the North Pole Area where gently used toys and games will be available for sale.
The Bazaar’s Silent Auction area offers wonderful bargains for gift giving including gift certificates to local businesses and services, time at vacation homes, golf outings, legal services for artists, Broadway show tickets and a midweek ski package. Collectors may be interested in several antique furniture offerings, fine china sets, and doll collectibles. Also available will be gift baskets, dinner or lunch with local chefs, photos and other items that will make great presents for special people. The majority of funds raised through the Bazaar will be used to fund Christ Church’s outreach program, which helps the needy, youth and veterans on both the local and county levels plus assistance in areas experiencing natural disasters such as the recent hurricanes.
