Earlier this year, Clancy Relocation and Logistics continued to expand their presence in the area by opening Clancy Self Storage. Located at 133 Route 22 in Pawling, the new venture represents the latest innovation for the company, which has been expanding and evolving since 1921.
Clancy Self Storage offers just under 200 units in four different sizes, ranging from 10’x 5’ to 10’ x 20’ to meet almost any standard storage need. The facility is climate controlled, ensuring that all items are stored at a stable temperature. Customers are granted 24/7 access with an entry code at two entrances. The operation is situated on one level, eliminating the need to lift items up stairs or use an elevator. A loading dock is also easily accessible for trucks and large vehicles. Clancy Self Storage also sells a wide variety of boxes, tape, bubble wrap, clean paper padding, and locks.
Security is a priority at Clancy Self Storage. In addition to the keypads that limit access, the building also uses hallway light sensors. The operation is monitored by security cameras, which can be remotely accessed by employees at all times.
Currently, Clancy Self Storage has 65% occupancy for the units and will be offering specials and incentives for storage in the upcoming winter months. These discounts will include a Manager’s Special, offering a reduction on the first month’s rental fees, as well as incentives for customers who pay for a year in advance.
Previously occupied by Stage Door Furniture, the building sat vacant for several years. Realizing that this would be an ideal location for their new initiative, Clancy purchased the facility and began the process of renovation in December 2015. Demolition and reconstruction of the building’s interior took more than a year, with the finished facility opening for business in March of 2017.
The new business in Pawling is just the latest development for Clancy, which has been expanding throughout New York and Connecticut for many years. The corporate headquarters is located in Patterson, across from Thunder Ridge Ski Mountain, with another dispatch office in nearby Holmes. Clancy also has two warehouse facilities in Newtown and New Milford, CT, and a commercial office in Stamford, CT.
“Our customers are very important to us,” says Clancy Self Storage Manager Lisa Stevens.
“Our goal is to always put them first and provide the best in customer service experience to earn their repeat business. Without our customers, we would not be able to keep expanding into different areas of the industry.” As Clancy Self Storage settles into the new facility, the Clancy team will also bring the company’s dedication to community participation. Recently, Clancy contributed donations for an upcoming gala event at the Trinity-Pawling School, as well as gift certificates for the Pawling Fire Department Auxiliary Penny Social in October and the Happy Life Animal Rescue Adoption fundraiser in Patterson. “We try to be very involved in the community,” says Mrs. Stevens. “It’s all about establishing a relationship.” Clancy Self Storage is also proud to be a member of the Pawling Chamber of Commerce and looks to expanding its established business success in the new home in Pawling.
