Harlem Valley Farm Day

On Sunday, October 1, the Harlem Valley Farm and Food Alliance (HVFFA) will hold their first Farm Day. The event will help to grow the relationship between consumers and farmers, as five local farms offer visitors tours and a chance to learn more about their products. The Harlem Valley Farm and Food Alliance is a group of farmers and entrepreneurs from the region who have joined together to support each another and the region. Their focus is on farming, an agrarian lifestyle, and local food production. The organization promotes economic development and general well being through agriculture. By pooling resources and promoting the consortium, the members of the Alliance hope to thrive for years to come. The event will run from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. Visitors to Farm Day will be provided with a map to each participating location.
