The local medical community has welcomed its newest addition with the arrival of chiropractor Michael “Dr. Mike” Roney, D.C., a musculoskeletal specialist who recently joined Pawling Family Chiropractic, located in the Atrium on Route 22.

Dr. Roney was graduated from New York Chiropractic College, in Seneca Falls, NY, this past April. He also has a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Physiology from West Virginia University. During his training, he served as a Chiropractic Clerk at the Canandaigua and Rochester VA Medical Centers, where he provided pain relief and management in the form of chiropractic adjustments and physical rehabilitation for veterans of all ages. Dr. Roney also spent time working with patients at Monroe Community Hospital in Rochester, NY, and the Seneca Falls Outpatient and Campus Health Center of New York Chiropractic College, as well as providing sports injury prevention and rehabilitation treatment at Hobart and William Smith Colleges. Dr. Roney specializes in addressing issues caused by stress, macro and micro trauma, and toxins that can manifest into joint and muscle pain.

Dr. Roney, whose wife is also a chiropractor, is currently managing the day-to-day practice at Pawling Family Chiropractic for Eleanor Fella, D.C. Dr. Fella recently relocated to North Carolina, but she retains ownership and oversees the practice. “Dr. Fella and I have similar styles,” he explains. “Although every chiropractor treats differently, it’s very important to me for patients to feel comfortable throughout their treatment.”

In August, Dr. Roney began providing spinal screenings at World Gym, located in the Atrium next to his office. “One of my primary focuses is on patient education, so that patients can understand and explore every treatment option available,” he says. “Through chiropractic, I want to provide an alternative avenue to drugs and surgery through a hands-on approach for people who can’t move the way they want.”

Currently, Dr. Roney commutes to Pawling from the greater Albany region, where he also practices chiropractic. He sees patients at the Atrium office on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. “Pawling has been a really great place to expand my practice,” he says.

Dr. Roney welcomes new patients. To contact Pawling Family Chiropractic, readers may call (845) 855-1475, visit FellaWellness.com online, or send an email to DrMike@FellaWellness.com.
