This summer marks the 12th year of Music By The Lake, a free concert series presented by the Pawling Recreation Department. This season will include four concerts with top-notch bands – some previous favorites and a couple of new bands. The 2017 schedule looks like this:
July 8: The Annie Mash Trio features former members of the band Back to the Garden 1969. The trio plays classic rock favorites from the 1960s through the 1990s.
July 22: Petey Hop & the Jackrabbits will make their fourth appearance at Music By The Lake this season. Petey Hop & the Jackrabbits are a four-piece band led by guitarist Pete Hopkinson, a seasoned music veteran who has performed extensively at Hudson Valley venues, including Daryl’s House and The Towne Crier.
August 12: The Truants will make their first appearance at Music By The Lake this season. The band specializes in British Invasion and Garage Rock covers. Their motto is “We play nothing after 1967!” Their repertoire is selected specifically for dancing.
August 26: The Greyhounds will close the Music By The Lake 2017 concert season. This entertaining group of musicians boasts a repertoire of driving rockabilly, R&B, roots rock, and surf instrumentals.
Admission to all concerts is free. The concerts will take place on Saturday nights from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Lakeside Park. Concerts will be held rain or shine. If the weather is bad, concerts will be held indoors in the Lathrop building at Lakeside Park.
